About the Role We are seeking a Perimeter Design Engineer to support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives through the design, architecture, and governance of perimeter security solutions. This role is focused on Fortinet technologies, firewall architecture, network segmentation, and security modernization projects across large-scale enterprise environments. What You'll Do Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for firewall and perimeter security solutions. Design firewall policies, NAT strategies, VPN connectivity, segmentation solutions, and DMZ architectures. Develop security standards, reference architectures, and engineering guidelines. Lead architecture reviews and design validation activities. Support infrastructure modernization, migration, and lifecycle management initiatives. Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Application teams. Review implementation plans and ensure alignment with approved designs. Support complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities. Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering and operations teams. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience designing and supporting enterprise perimeter security environments. Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet security platforms. Experience creating and owning HLD and LLD documentation. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing & Switching, OSPF, BGP, and Static Routing. Experience with DMZ architecture, segmentation, and micro-segmentation. Experience with Arista or Arista CVP and Cisco networking environments. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Ability to lead technical discussions and architecture reviews.
